Rain Dampens The Action At Summit Point
05.13.2008 — WKA road racers embarked on the historic Summit Point Raceway, nestled in the hills of West Virginia this past weekend for stop #3 of the Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series driven by Mazda.
Four hundred entries filled the pits and patiently waited out the passing storms throughout the weekend. Rain cancelled half of Friday’s practice rounds and delayed the start of Saturday’s racing program. However, with the cooperation of the competitors, the Woodbridge Kart Club successfully completed the day’s events. Sunday started off once again under adverse conditions following overnight rains and ceased long enough to squeeze in two of the eight races scheduled for the day.
