Final Qualifying Session
After yesterday’s cool conditions the sun was out for Saturday’s second and
final qualifying session for round three of the Superside FIM Sidecar World
Championship. Track temperatures rose to 42 degrees.

The Superside Teams had an opportunity to acclimatise to the Hungaroring
circuit in unofficial practice sessions today. In typical sidecar

After the exciting opening round of the Superside FIM Sidecar World
Championship on the 1.2 mile/1.9km ‘Indy’ circuit at Brands Hatch three
weeks ago the teams travel to Hungary this weekend for round two of the
series on the long 2.7mile/4.3km Hungaroring on the outskirts of Budapest.

At 4pm, in 36 degree heat, pole position men Steve Webster and Paul
Woodhead led the Superside Teams on their final warm-up lap of the
impressive Hungaroring circuit. Less than three minutes later the Red
light changed and the first of 19 laps in what was to be a test of men and

With overcast conditions and a cool track temperature of just 27 degrees
(compared to those in Hungary of 55 degrees), Tim & Tristan Reeves were
immediately on the pace setting a 1m 33s time to head the timesheets right
at the beginning of the session.
